Red Ribbon Week, 2005

In celebration of "Red Ribbon Week",

Narconon of Georgia Drug & Alcohol Recovery

Program invited several organizations to participate in, "A Drug Free Day in Georgia Rally", which was held on Friday, October 28, 2005 at 12 noon in Woodruff Park, located in downtown Atlanta. The event was called to help address the issues of drug addiction and to bring the awareness to the community in hopes of one day soon putting an end to this terrible societal issue. The purpose of this event was to collaborate with various other Drug Education & Rehabilitation organizations and our Elected Officials in an effort to show Support for Unity In the Community, against drug abuse as well as to educate our youth and the community on
the harmful effects of drugs. We received a Proclamation from the Office of the Lieutenant Governor, and a Letter of Support on behalf of the City of Atlanta's Chief of Police. Overall, the event was a success.

Sincerely,

Sunshine Lewis
Director of Public Relations
