Out Patient
Treatment
Atlanta Recovery Center's outpatient
program is geared toward the working person, housewife, individuals in school,
etc. People that have varying degrees of responsibility that must be maintained
are candidates for this treatment approach.
At the initial onset of
treatment it is suggested that a family member or friend assume some
responsibility in helping the person through a withdrawal. This initial phase
is termed first-step, as it is the first step on the road to recovery. After
that phase the program is exactly the same as the residential program only
delivered on an outpatient basis, with the exception of a few extra visits to a
naturopathic doctor to check the basic balance of the body, check for any
vitamin/mineral deficiencies, structure a balanced diet and determine if the
client may be allergic to anything in their living environment.
The
sauna or cellular cleansing phase of the program can be described as Partial
Day Treatment as it will require daily (approx. 5 hrs) attendance for the first
21-28 days, which would require the client to go to the required session during
the days or evenings and participate in the treatment regimen, then return home
for the evening and overnight. After the initial 21-28 days the program
intensity is lowered and the client starts a out-patient regimen that is
usually Monday through Friday for 2-3 hours an evening.
The duration of
length in regards to the program is variable and based on the individual's
schedule and can be structured to accommodate other areas of responsibility.
